Just because I’m not ‘overly’ emotional, doesn’t mean I don’t care.
Example: If someone dies, I’m not going to fall apart! Not because I don’t care… but because I have made a conscious decision to not engage in unhealthy emotional extremes. These extremes are bad for my physical health… they keep me from being helpful to others & I am certain that the deceased would not want me to feel that way.
I’ve worked very hard at learning to control my emotions.
I’m not saying that we shouldn’t have emotions… but if we learn to control our emotions we can eliminate anxiety & depressing… we can reduce violent crime, bullying & abuse… hell, we might even avoid a few wars!
The goal for today, find peace, happiness & usefulness in emotional balance & stability.
