Altruistic Creativity

Years ago a 15 year old kid said… “I’m fat & ugly & I have no friends, I really wish I would just die.” For the first few minutes, you could hear crickets… there was dead silence because no one knew what to say. Then I said to him… “What would you tell me, if I said that to you?” & that’s when the miracle happened. He went into a truly beautiful speech about how it’s what’s inside that matters most & how he is sure that a lot of people love me & I shouldn’t focus on the few that don’t. The next day I wrote about the importance of consulting your own conscience, putting yourself in the other persons shoes & helping others. My writing comes from helping others… & leads to helping more. The goal for today: feel the creative power of true altruism! Have a great day everybody!
