Give What’s Right

“You give but little when you give of your possessions. It is when you give of yourself that you truly give” ~Kahlil Gibran. There is nothing wrong with helping someone out from a physical or material standpoint… but it is infinitely more important that we learn how to give each other patience, tolerance, kindliness & Love. All the material possessions in the world won’t add up to the total sum of what even just a moment of genuine kindness could amount to. The goal for today: remember always, that your neighbor is far more in need of your Love, than they are your money! Have a great day everybody!

Look For The Deeper Meaning

“You’ve got to find some way of saying it, without saying it” ~Duke Ellington. I love this quote! I write like that… everything I say can be applied to an individual’s life… the life of our nation… & humanity as a whole. For example: I shouldn’t spend more money than I have… neither should the White House… or the G20. The Principles that govern all life on earth are at the root of the things I write. The goal for today: share the tools, that fix ALL of our problems, with individuals in an attempt to change the world from ‘We the People’… up! Have a great day everybody!

The Power Of Giving

Bill Wilson, a co-founder of AA, tried to help a lot of people get sober & it didn’t work. One day, when he was just about to throw in the towel, he said to his wife “I give up! This isn’t working… none of these guys are staying sober”… his wife replied “But you are Bill.” Here we are… 83 years later & that statement by Lois Wilson is still saving lives. The person receiving help may or may not get & stay well… but the person giving help will ALWAYS triumph, over any & all difficulties. The goal for today: don’t forget this Master Law of Life… giving is far more powerful than getting! Have a great day everybody!

The Poem of a Patriot

As I gaze out my window on a day like today
In the depths of a winter so ashen & gray
I can always find solace in this I must say
A sight that inspires in its particular way
I stand in the easterly corner of home
Looking due west directly into the gloom
But one window provides me an alternate view
The flag of our fathers in a beautiful hue
It stands out like a lighthouse to a sailor in need
Whom tosses & toils in the dark night at sea
It brings to me memories, it fills me with pride
The emotion it brings me I seldom can hide
Our founders, our fathers, our brothers, our sons
Have protected our freedoms from a world full of wrongs
It may not mean all the same things to you
But to me it means freedom for the tried & the true
I will respect it & love it & defend it I swear
From all threats to freedom, for yours I will care
For this glorious ensign that once meant so much
Still means the world to the hearts that its touched
So say what you will & do what you do
But to claim that “its” wronged you is simply not true
They say you can burn it but I’d say you’re a fool
For it will do much more to fill your heart if it remains red, white & blue
