Focus

I was playing candy crush, and the board I was on had bombs all over it. I was so focused on getting rid of the bombs, that I wasn’t able to achieve the objective… & I failed to complete the board. The next time I played that board, I focused on the objective, the bombs took care of themselves, and I beat the board. Life is just like that; we sometimes let fear distract us from what we were put here to do… which is to give Love. The goal for today: stay in the moment by focusing on the task at hand, rise above our difficulties & differences, and achieve the objective… Love! Have a great day everybody!

Live In The Moment

We constantly hear how important it is to live in the present moment, but we were never really taught how. I got a call from a friend saying… “I’m stressing out because I have a lot of important things coming up in the next few months. I’m so stressed I want to leave work.” Can you see the problem? We are all guilty of doing this… & we do it so much that it has become the norm for us. If I’m at work “today”… should I be thinking about something that might happen “next month” that has nothing to do with my job? The physical body is always in the present moment… make sure your mind is too. The goal for today: focus on the task at hand! Have a great day everybody!

The Key

“Attention is the key” ~Emmet Fox. We are all surrounded by good & bad, all day, every day… which one do you pay more attention to? We can’t ignore our problems & that’s not what I’m suggesting here… but we don’t have to drown ourselves in them either. I am 100% certain that something good will happen in your life today, but the question is… will you be paying attention when it does? Sometimes I’m too busy pissing & moaning & whining about life to notice when good things happen; & when we ignore good it tends to die out… just like when you don’t water a plant. The goal for today: stop looking for misery… and you just might find some happiness! Have a great day everybody!

The Power Of Attention

I’ve learned 2 things for certain: 1) Our problems have exactly as much power over us as we give them. 2) The more we look for problems, the more we find them. When I look for problems, I find them… & the more I talk about my problems & do nothing to correct them… the more power I give them to hurt me & others. The goal for today: stop imagining problems… there are enough real ones out there. And when I encounter an actual problem, I should strip away its power by constantly thinking about the solution… not the problem! Have a great day everybody!

You Already Know

There is ALWAYS a solution! There is no such thing as an unsolvable problem & the craziest part of this fact, is that the root cause of the problem, as well as the actual solution, are both already in your own mind. If you sit down & thoroughly write down what you believe the problem is & who or what you believe caused it… you will begin to see your answers. If I pay close attention & I’m willing to see the Truth… I will find that ALL of my answers are already inside of me. The goal for today: pay attention… seek the Truth… take responsibility… & solve my problems! Have a great day everybody!

Did You Know… ?

Did you know the Statue of Liberty is holding a keystone in her left arm… not a tablet? Did you know the Washington Monument is actually the tallest pyramid in the world? Did you know there is a 240 ton, 68′ 10″ obelisk (Cleopatra’s Needle) in Central Park in New York City? Did you know Praise be to God is carved in Latin on the capstone on the east side of the Washington Monument & it’s on the east side so the sun will always rise & never set on it? The goal for today: pay closer attention! Have a great day everybody!

Focus & Attention

One day I had a pounding headache. I was about to take a whole handful of ibuprofen when someone called me & needed my help. I told this person to stop by my house, I hung the phone up & went back to my ibuprofen… but something strange happened. I put the ibuprofen in my pocket & said to myself “I won’t need this, while I helping this person.” The power of the mind goes much deeper than most of us realize. The goal for today: resolve most of my problems by staying focused on helping others! Have a great day everybody!
