“You can speak to them about hopelessness because you offer a solution” ~Anon. Someone once told me I was powerless. Powerless over drugs & alcohol… powerless over people, places & things… powerless over life in general & he was right… but what he failed to mention was that there is a solution. The idea of being powerless over the world & all the people in it didn’t sound very appealing to me, so I went out in search of a solution… & I found it! I’m here to tell you that no matter how hopeless your life might seem right now, there is a solution… it can ALL be fixed! The goal for today: never give up & never give in… seek, find & follow the solution! Have a great day everybody!
I try to rightly relate hope & reality. Hope is a vitally important virtue! Without hope we would never strive for better lives, we wouldn’t be able to see what an amazing road potentially lies ahead of us. But reality isn’t on the road ahead… it’s right here & now. Reality steps in & reminds us that the road ahead isn’t going to pave itself… there is work to be done if we want our future to be as bright as it could be. Reality guarantees future happiness & success… “IF” we get rid of our selfishness & learn how to Love & help each other right here & now! The goal for today: I don’t hope for happiness… I just hope I’m willing to do what’s required of me to get it! Have a great day everybody!
We are capable of so much more than we think. Every single one of us has greatness in us… it is just a matter of tapping into it & letting it come to the surface. When I was a kid I believed that anything was possible, but then I let adulthood strip me of that belief. I’m grateful to report that I have found it again & it has been demonstrating itself in my life & the lives of many others that I see. So, if you are the type of person that finds themselves frequently saying “I can’t do that”… then it might be your time to rise up & find yourself again. The goal for today: tap into your Inner Strength (I promise you, It’s there)… rise above the tide of negativity in this world… & become a beacon of hope for others to follow out of the darkness! Have a great day everybody!
Someone asked me why their life was getting harder now that they were trying to live Right. When we are living wrong, we can’t face our problems, so they piled up on us; but when we are trying to live Right, we are more prepared to face them & handle them. So if you are trying to put your life back together & it seems to be getting harder instead of easier… hang in there, it’s just a phase of your development & if you stay the course, you will win out & it will get easier. The goal for today: keep going, because in the eye of the storm lies perfect peace! Have a great day everybody!
What are you thinking about right now? Is it positive… or negative? Did you choose to think about it… or is it being forced on you by something or someone else? These are important questions! Carl Jung once said that if you don’t control your subconscious mind, it will control you… & you’ll call it fate. I could be ruining my own life with wrong thinking & not even know it… that’s kinda scary. Fortunately… we can control it! The goal for this very moment: have a positive, constructive, helpful, hopeful thought… you know you can do it! Have a great day everybody!
“Blind faith is not really faith at all” ~Emmet Fox. He goes on to say that blind faith is really just hope. Hope is a good thing too… but it’s not faith. Faith is to wholeheartedly believe in something because it can prove itself to be true. Hope is something we take a chance on, not having any real idea of whether or not it will work out. Therefore, blind faith is never more than a temporary condition that will eventually prove to be accurate or inaccurate… & once we have that proof, we can practice real faith… because we “Know.” The goal for today: if my faith doesn’t lead me to facts… then I will pursue another line of faith! Have a great day everybody!
“Don’t get your hopes up!” ~idk.
You should absolutely get your hopes up!
Do we really think that dragging our hopes down & expecting life to always suck is a healthy thing to do?
I try to always have high… yet realistic hopes.
The important thing here is to not allow a letdown to destroy me… I can always try again.
We are capable of more good than we know & raising our hopes will absolutely allow us to attain more & more of that good.
The goal for today: keep your hopes up… but understand that life is a work in progress!
Have a great day everybody!
